The Church Pianist: Prelude tip.

Here's a tip that may help the church
pianist for the end of the prelude.

Does your choir sing an opening chorus
to begin the service?

If they do, I try to make sure my last
prelude song is in the same key as the
choir opener.

This allows for a smoother transition
into the introduction for the choir opener.

That's a great tip! I've tried to do that as well; it seems to make it so much smoother! Last minute key changes (which I'm not too great at anyway and appreciating your posts on! :-D) are too confusing. Thank you!
